Finding Home in Time of Homesickness

This series was taken in the middle of my cross cultural journey through Central and Eastern Europe. The pictures were taken between the second and third months of our expedition when our group began to cope with homesickness. People combat the discomfort of being away from their familiar shelters over long periods of time by adopting — even temporarily — surrogates for their yearnings.
